EARTH BODY ~ Solstice Day Retreat Ticket (FINAL RELEASE)
The winter solstice represents a cosmic shift, a transition from the darkest point of the year toward the gradual return of light. The solstice is a symbol of hope, resilience, and the cyclical nature of life, a reminder that there is beauty to be found in the quiet darkness of winter’s dreaming Earth.
This is a day for remembering—
the wisdom in bare branches,
the quiet strength in roots unseen.
Here, we honour the slowing down, the deepening,
the sacred pause before the returning light.
We sink into the body of the Earth,
into the dark womb of the Mother,
and feel the pulse of something ancient within us.
Through breath, through movement,
through stillness and fire,
we meet ourselves in the turning of the wheel.
A space to rest, to release, to rekindle.
A moment to relish in the fertile darkness of Winter, and plant what is to come.
Beloved wahine, we invite you to retreat with us for one day in honour of the Winter Solstice & the alignment of the stars of Matariki. A space to share cacao, somatic movement, a discussion around winter wellness, enjoy wholesome kai, commune with plant allies, make medicine, journey inwards & relish in the restfulness of yin yoga and sound. We will hold you in reverence to receive what it is you need in the depths of winter. Join us for a deeply nourishing day of reflection, connection, and celebration.
What’s included:
Opening Circle & Cacao Ceremony
We begin with a gentle landing with the heart-opening medicine of ceremonial cacao to welcome each other and share our intentions into the space.
Self Inquiry ~ Meditation, Breath, Movement
Move freely, move fully, move as you are. This is a space for liberation — where your body leads and your mind rests. Guided by a curated soundscape, let rhythm and breath take you on a journey of release and expression.
Exploration of the Wise Woman Winter
The Wise Woman Tradition is a holistic approach to healing and well-being that emphasizes nourishment and connection to nature. It recognizes the inherent power and wisdom within women, particularly in relation to their unique life cycles and experiences. The tradition centers on self-care, intuitive knowledge, and a deep connection to the Earth and its rhythms. We will explore rituals to truly receive the gifts of Winter and nurture ourselves during this season of rest and reflection.
Plant Medicine Craft
We will commune with several Winter plant allies and craft our very own Dream tincture to take home, providing a herbal tool to support nervous system health and access to deep restful states.
Nourishing Kai
A lovingly prepared seasonal lunch featuring a wholesome grazing platter, homemade soup, and vibrant salads. A time for gratitude, connection and nourishment.
Plant Spirit Meditation with Reishi
Journey with a supreme Winter plant ally, Reishi, the "Mushroom of Immortality," in a guided meditation that connects you to its deep, grounding essence, to allow the spirit of this ancient healer to speak to you through imagery, sensations, and subtle whispers.
Yin Yoga & Sound Bowls
Sink into deep restfulness and surrender with a restorative yin yoga practice. As your body softens, the gentle vibrations of crystal sound bowls will wash over you, harmonising your energy and guiding you into a state of tranquil meditation where you can simply receive.
Closing Circle
We come full circle, weaving our shared experiences into a tapestry of gratitude. Together, we reflect on our personal and collective journey, offering a final word, a blessing, or a truth that feels alive within us. A closing ritual binds us to this moment, ensuring the insights and intentions we've cultivated ripple outward as we return to the world.
